Welsh Rarebit
Ingredients
3 Tubs New Bridge Spicy Beer Cheese Spread
5 Rolls Ciabatta Bread
1/2 Cup 40% Heavy Cream
3 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour
3 Tbsp Unsalted European Butter
2 Tbsp Mustard Powder
1 Tsp White Pepper
1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
2 Tbsp Worcestershire Powder
Directions
Set the oven to broil – Toast the bread to a golden brown but still slightly charred– Set aside
In a saucepan, melt the butter – add the flour and make a blonde roux
Whisk in the heavy cream slowly
Whisk in the spicy beer cheese spread
Add the mustard powder, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce – Mix thoroughly
Spread evenly on the tops of the toasted ciabatta
Place in the oven on broil till the cheese is bubbly and brown spots have formed
Cut in diagonals and serve
